For Ben, Namotu Island is where it all began and the place he calls his second home. This is where he first learned to kiteboard and realised he could merge his love of surfing and kiting to create kitesurfing as we know it today. Now, fifteen years later, Ben hosts his own kite camps where he can share his favourite place and his skills with guests from around the world. Partners and non-kiters are catered for with additonal activites, comfortable accommodation and great food. From first time kiters to advanced wave riders, this trip is for anyone wanting to spend time in the water and meet an incredible group of people.
SUITABLE FOR: non-kiters/partners, beginner surfers & kiters, intermediate/advanced kiters, surfers & stand up paddlers

This lonely stretch of coasline along the California Coast in Baja, Mexico is renowned for it's long and friendly waves and consistent wind that's perfect for kiting and windsurfing. The waves here are world-class and ideal for stepping up your kiting. SoloSports' owner and operator, Kevin Trejo set up camp here in the 80s and although there's still not much around, Kevin, 'takes the rough, out of roughin it.' This trip is all about the location and Ben's coaching sessions; if you're serious about working on your wave riding, this camp is for you. The SoloSports Kite Week povides an ultra-accessible escape, just a quick hop across the border from San Diego plus all sports equipment is provided so you don't need to bring a thing (well almost). This trip suits intermediate to advanced kiters.
SUITABLE FOR: intermediate/advanced kiters, surfers & stand up paddlers

I’ve spent the last few years trying to coordinate this Great Barrier Reef kite trip. I’d heard whispers of remote waves that only break in certain conditions and rumours of their location but all the locals who surf out there stay tight-lipped. Nobody shares this kind of knowledge.
So over the last couple of years, whenever I was fishing up there, I’d look for waves. I scoped out patches of reef with potential and I started putting together a plan to come back and kite it one day. Watch the mini-doco here.
