SOLOSPORTS KITE WEEKS APRIL/MAY 2017

I've just returned from hosting two small coaching-focussed camps at SoloSports in Baja, Mexico. These weeks are not for the faint-hearted; it's an adventure from the moment you arrive at SoloSport's rocky airstrip till the moment you land back at San Diego's Brown Airfield. Kevin, Joey and the team down in Baja take care of us all with amazing food, the best kiting, mountain biking, surfing and SUP'ing gear, ice-cold cervezas, and comfortable tents overlooking the waves.

The waves themselves are long, peeling point breaks with a mix of lefts and rights to keep everyone happy. Although to be honest, there's nothing better than the epic right hander, the Chilli Bowl, right in front of the camp.

The mornings can be glassy and perfect for surfing, or mountain biking in the hills and around the bays. Most of our time at Punta San Carlos had big swell with loads of wind but there were a few calm days perfect for exploring the area.

Stu Gibson who shoots most of my photo and video content, including the Namotu Kite Weeks, joined us to make sure we captured the moment just right. Here's a selection, both still and in motion. Thanks to everyone who came along and made the weeks incredible.
